We are transitioning from the Zoom for Outlook Plugin to the Scorpion Zoom Outlook Add-in.
To continue scheduling meetings in Outlook, you can follow the steps below to use Zoom directly from your Outlook Calendar. Each event will generate a unique meeting ID and URL, enhancing privacy by keeping it separate from your Scorpion custom URL and personal meeting ID.
Add a Zoom Meeting:
- Once the plugin is removed, the "Schedule a Meeting" and "Start Instant Meeting" buttons on the Classic Ribbon will be removed.
- The new Scorpion Zoom Outlook Add-In buttons will show on the Event or Meeting tab in Outlook Calendar or on a specific meeting, not the Mail tab or Home ribbon:
- To log in to the Add-In the first time, click on the Settings button with the gear icon, next to the new Add a Zoom Meeting button:
- Sign in to your Zoom account, using your SSO/Okta credentials, then click Sign In:
Default Meeting provider setting (Optional):
To ensure that Zoom is your default meeting provider for new meetings, over Teams, follow these steps:
- On a PC, go to File, Options (bottom left)
- Click on the Calendar tab, then click Meeting Providers:
- Choose Scorpion Zoom Outlook Add-In, and then click OK:
